Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients
- Three cups sugar
- One cup oil
- Four eggs
- One and one-half teaspoons salt
- One teaspoon cinnamon
- One teaspoon nutmeg
- Two-thirds cup cold water
- Two cups canned pumpkin
- Three and one-third cups flour
- Two teaspoons baking soda
Directions
- Place all ingredients in order given in mixing bowl, and mix well with electric mixer.
- Divide mixture into two oiled loaf pans, 9¼ x 5½ x 2¾.
- Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 1 hour, or until silver knife inserted in center comes out
clean.
- Cool in pans for about 1 hour.
- Remove from pans and place on rack to continue cooling.
- Slice thinly.
